Aftenen vil byde på DJ-sets, live performances og improvisaoner leveret af upcoming kunstnere og lydskabere, der undersøger nye former for rytme, lyd og performance og aktiverer Den Fries udstillingsrum og udstillingen ’Maybe we could both belong’ på nye måder. For Culture Night, Den Frie opens its doors to a wide audience for an evening dedicated to music, as the art hall is transformed by an experimental local music scene.

The evening will feature DJ sets, live performances, and improvisations by emerging artists and sound creators who explore new forms of rhythm, sound, and performance—activating Den Frie’s exhibition spaces and the current exhibition in new ways. Come and experience a rare encounter where Den Frie’s historic setting provides the context for a sensory meeting between contemporary visual art and sound art.

Den store B&W hal slår denne nat slår portene op og inviterer til en spektakulær lys- og lydoplevelse. Du kan sejle til og fra øen og på vejen rundt kan du få ny-dekoreret dit eget medbragte maleri i bedste popart-stil. Du kan lytte til ord og musik, beriges af fotokunst og opleve kunsthåndværk i de gamle skibshaller, på loftsatelierer, på gamle skibe og i sorte containere. The B&W hall opens its doors this night and invites you to a spectacular light and sound experience. You can sail to and from the island, and along the way, you can have your own brought painting, newly decorated in the best pop art style, listen to words and music, see photographic art, experience crafts in the old shipyard halls, loft studios, on old ships, and in black containers. You can also challenge your friend or family by climbing on the city’s largest climbing walls and enjoy the hygge and food over fire and warm drinks. So come along and seize the chance to experience the magic at Refshaleøen.

Aftenen byder desuden på den særlige klang af koncert med sav og orgel, hvor Jeppe Just Christensen spiller sav sammen med Frederiksberg Sogns organist Christian Winther Christensen. Sammen fremfører de både klassiske og nyskrevne værker – og som afslutning samles vi til Midsnatsgudstjeneste kl. 23.00.At Frederiksberg Church this evening you can experience Stine Michel performing the timeless story The Little Prince. A poetic musical tale about the meeting between a pilot and a young boy, opening space for reflection and wonder. Spirekoret and Børnekoret (the Children’s and Junior Choirs) of Frederiksberg Parish also take part in the performance.

The evening also offers the unique sound of a concert for saw and organ, where Jeppe Just Christensen plays the musical saw together with Frederiksberg Parish’s own organist, Christian Winther Christensen. Together they perform both classical and newly composed works – and finally we gather for a Midnight Service at 11:00 p.m.
