Every hour throughout Culture Night, a new group of authors and translators will read aloud. Each member reads for ten minutes in both Danish and another language.

Premiere on the big screen of the documentary “ABCinema” (28 min, at 19.00, 21.00, 22.00, 23.00) about the Danish artist collective, counting Jørgen Leth, Ole John, Camilla Skousen, Lene Adler Petersen, Bjørn Nørgaard, Per Kirkeby, et al., who in 1968-70 tried to unite the arts and formulate a new film language, whose ideas evolved in Trier and Vinterberg’s Dogma95 and now in the new group Dogma25.
After the first screening at 19.00 there will be a talk between a representative from the ‘old guard’, Ole John, and one from the new, Isabella Eklöf, moderated by curator Jacob Dammas.

In addition, mini-exhibition with the cameras and the manifestos from all three film movements.

On Copenhagen Culture Night, we sharpen our senses and switch off the lights at Rosenborg Castle. A new sound art installation composed by ambient musician and sound artist Sofie Birch fills the darkened corridors and halls as part of an experience in which the castle’s history is sensed more than seen. In contrast to the darkness inside, an atmospheric light installation lights up the castle from outside.

Bring your own electric torch and explore the more than 400-year-old castle and its fascinating history.

Please note that to enter the castle, you need a Culture Pass and you have to book a free time slot by registering online in advance.
